Equivalent focal length is 46.5...170.5 mm. The optical scheme comprises 18 elements in 12 groups (2ED). Thanks to the 7-bladed aperture, the subjects located outside the depth of field are shown with very smooth features. The Image Stabilizer gives the equivalent effect of a shutter speed.
