Sigma AF 800mm f/5.6 APO EX is a autofocus prime lens for SLR cameras.
The optical scheme comprises 12 elements in 9 groups (2ELD). Thanks to the 9-bladed aperture, the subjects located outside the depth of field are shown with very smooth features.
This lens has a size of 516 mm. The lens of this size it is difficult to carry. This lens weighs 4740 grams, given the weight of the camera, it may deliver long wearing problems. Minimum focusing distance 7 m is only for shooting distant objects. Sigma AF 800mm f/5.6 APO EX went on sale in 1999. Currently out of production (2004) and is no longer available.
