SMC Pentax-DA 50mm f/1.8 is a fast autofocus prime lens for half-frame SLR system.
Equivalent focal length is 77.5 mm. The optical scheme comprises 6 elements in 5 groups. Thanks to minimum aperture ratio of f/1.8 enables shooting in low lighting conditions without a tripod or a flash. Thanks to the 7-bladed aperture, the subjects located outside the depth of field are shown with very smooth features.
This lens has a size of 38.5 mm. This is a normal size, very convenient in everyday use. The weight of this lens is very small (122 grams) and is almost invisible against the background of the weight of the camera. The lens is suitable for shooting near objects.
