SMC Pentax 400mm f/5.6 is a manual focus prime lens for SLR cameras.

The optical scheme comprises 5 elements in 5 groups. Thanks to the 10-bladed aperture, this lens has a beautiful bokeh, the subjects located outside the depth of field are shown with highly circular features. This feature will be appreciated by professional filmmakers and photographers taking portrait photos.

This lens has a size of 277 mm. The lens of this size it is difficult to carry. This lens weighs 1285 grams, given the weight of the camera, it may deliver long wearing problems. Minimum focusing distance 8 m is only for shooting distant objects. Mounting the filter has a common size. SMC Pentax 400mm f/5.6 went on sale in 1975. Currently out of production (1977) and is no longer available.
