SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.4 is a ultra fast manual focus prime lens for SLR cameras.
The optical scheme comprises 7 elements in 6 groups. Thanks to very high brightness value of f/1.4 it comes as a great tool in poor lighting conditions and small depth of field. Thanks to the 8-bladed aperture, the subjects located outside the depth of field are shown with very smooth features.
This lens has a size of 42 mm. This is a normal size, very convenient in everyday use. The weight of this lens (265 grams) is suitable for everyday use. The lens is suitable for shooting near objects. Mounting the filter has a common size. Lens fit for low light conditions. SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.4 went on sale in 1975. Currently out of production (1977) and is no longer available.
