SMC Pentax DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED is a autofocus zoom lens for half-frame SLR system.
Equivalent focal length is 85.25...465 mm. The optical scheme comprises 12 elements 8 groups (ED). Due to the fact that lens has 6-bladed aperture, the subjects located outside the depth of field may be shown which the nuts-effect in the bokeh.
This lens has a size of 111.5 mm. This is a normal size, very convenient in everyday use. This lens weighs 440 grams, given the weight of the camera, it may deliver long wearing problems. Mounting the filter has a common size. 55-300mm provides lot of focal length range. SMC Pentax DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED went on sale in 2008. Currently out of production (2013) and is no longer available.
