Sony E 16mm f/2.8 is a fast autofocus prime lens with ultra-sonic motor for half-frame SLR system.
Equivalent focal length is 24.8 mm. The optical scheme comprises 5 elements in 5 groups. Thanks to minimum aperture ratio of f/2.8 enables shooting in low lighting conditions without a tripod or a flash. Thanks to the 7-bladed aperture, the subjects located outside the depth of field are shown with very smooth features. Equipped with a silent ultrasonic motor providing fast and quiet autofocusing.
This lens has a size of 22.5 mm. It is very compact and pocket-size. The weight of this lens is very small (67 grams) and is almost invisible against the background of the weight of the camera. The lens is suitable for shooting near objects. Mounting the filter has a common size. Lens fit for low light conditions. Sony E 16mm f/2.8 went on sale in 2010.
