The optical scheme comprises 17 elements in 12 groups (1 LD, 1 XLD). Thanks to the 9-bladed aperture, the subjects located outside the depth of field are shown with very smooth features. Equipped with a silent ultrasonic motor providing fast and quiet autofocusing. The Image Stabilizer gives the equivalent effect of a shutter speed.
